Style 5100U – Universal

The Style 5100U universal rubber expansion joints are designed with two flexible arch sections divided by a straight section, allowing greater lateral movement. This single-unit design effectively absorbs axial thermal movements from adjacent pipe runs. These joints are engineered to absorb large all-directional movements, reduce noise and vibration, offer a cycle life in the tens of millions, compensate for misalignments, provide access to piping and equipment, and relieve pipe and anchor stresses.

The spool-type body features full rubber flanges, a high-grade leak-proof tube, multiple layers of high-strength tire cord, high tensile steel reinforcement, a seamless cover, and hot dip galvanized steel retaining rings. Control units, which can be attached either externally or internally, serve as limit rods for secondary restraint or as tie rods in cases where the support structure or adjacent equipment has load limitations.
