Style 5100P - In-Line Pressure
Product Type:Style 5100P in-line pressure balanced rubber expansion joints are uniquely designed to absorb large axial thermal movements while continuously self-restraining pressure thrust forces. This configuration utilizes tie devices to inter-connect its main joint sections with the opposing balancing joint section, making it ideal for situations where the support structure or adjacent equipment have load limitations.
The one-piece rubber body features full rubber flanges, a high-grade leak-proof tube, multiple layers of high-strength tire cord, high tensile steel reinforcement, a seamless cover, and hot dip galvanized steel retaining rings. These joints are engineered to absorb all-directional movements, reduce noise and vibration, offer a cycle life in the tens of millions, compensate for misalignments, provide access to piping and equipment, and relieve pipe and anchor stresses. The economic advantages of utilizing pressure balanced designs include a smaller system footprint and a reduced need for guides, anchors, and supports.
