Extruded Rubber
Extruded rubber seal products are continuous lengths of rubber or elastomeric material formed through the extrusion process, in which uncured rubber compounds are forced through a die of the desired cross-section, then vulcanized to set their shape and performance characteristics. These seals are designed to provide reliable sealing, cushioning, vibration dampening, or edge protection in a wide variety of applications.
Because extrusion allows for virtually unlimited profile shapes—ranging from simple solid or hollow tubes to complex multi-channel designs—these products can be precisely tailored for specific performance requirements. The choice of material, such as EPDM, silicone, neoprene, nitrile, or natural rubber, is determined by environmental factors including temperature range, chemical exposure, UV resistance, compression set, and abrasion resistance.
