Silicone-Fiberglass Fabrics
Product Type:Our fiberglass products are crafted from silica and aluminum oxides, forming E-Glass fibers. This composition makes them highly resilient to high working temperatures, mechanically sturdy, chemically inert, waterproof against both oils and water, exceptionally flexible, resistant to vibrations and abrasion, and proficient in electrical and thermal insulation. Characterized by their affordability, chemical resistance, strength, and ability to withstand moderate temperatures during service, this type of fiberglass fabric proves to be a practical choice.
Silicone-impregnated fiberglass fabric offers remarkable flexibility and serves as an exceptional protective material utilized in insulating blankets and other heat-resistant components. The silicone coating enhances water and oil resistance, while also providing low smoke and flame retardancy. While the base fiberglass fabric offers a rating of 1000°F/550°C, the silicone coating maintains a continuous rating of 550°F/287°C. Additionally, the Silicone Coated Fiberglass Fabric exhibits excellent flexibility, puncture resistance, and tear resistance. Its dry surface prevents sticking to the sewing table, facilitating easier sewing, draping, and handling processes.
