Corrugated Metal Gaskets: CMG

The Lamons family of Corrugated Metal Graphite (CMG) stands out as the standard in corrugated metal gasket technology. Particularly well-suited for 150 and 300 class ASME B16.5 flanges with minimal available bolt loading, these gaskets offer an excellent solution. The substrate geometry of these gaskets enhances recovery and resilience throughout thermal cycles, ensuring a prolonged service life.

Corrugated metal gaskets can effectively substitute spiral wound gaskets, resolving the problem of inward buckling while retaining a secure seal under moderate flange stresses. With a variety of substrate alloys and covering layer options, CMGs are designed with a specific pitch and core thickness to tackle challenges associated with joint relaxation, pressure, and thermal cycles.
